I had never really realized this before, but now it is so obvious!
I would always sort of be "at war" with myself thinking how I should be more like so and so then I'd be better at house keeping, better at being a wife and mother, etc.
Today, Sarah Mae encourages us to accept ourselves for who we are and live out our lives to the fullest.
One excerpt that really inspired me this morning was "We do have a responsibility to our families and the domains God gave us, and we must lay down our flesh minute by minute, by the grace of God, to do our best. However, let's not get trapped by perfection, comparisons, or any other distractions that steal away the truth that God loves us and we are a work in progress!"
The important thing is that we not beat ourselves up when we fail. Just keep on keepin' on. Know who you are in Jesus. Figure out how your personality affects your cleaning style and go with it, don't try to be someone you aren't. Accept God's grace and work hard to do what you need to do and move on.
One way to help determine your personality is to take the DISC Personality Quiz. When I took it I got "Cautious." Makes perfect sense to me. :-)
Cleaning assignment for today is to clean and organize shelves and polish furniture in the bedrooms.
