That is certainly true here!
She also offers some helpful tips for when we are feeling overwhelmed.
- Only work on one room at a time - So much better than cleaning a little bit here and there. That way you can really see/feel your accomplishments.
- Be generous to your trash can - I love this one, because we all know that less clutter = less stress!
- Get rid of/put up half the toys - Store/rotate them out or donate them.
- Set a timer for 15 minutes and work hard and fast! - I love to crank up the tunes while I do this.
- Focus on the big picture - How do you want your house to be? Peaceful and calm? Focus on it and write it down, post it in place you will see it often.
- GET OFF THE COMPUTER! - This is the one that helps me the most. If I dawdle on here all day, I get depressed and off kilter and have a hard time getting motivated to get things done.
- Stay focused - Keep on, keepin' on. It will get better and when you've got it cleaned you can revel in that feeling!
- Find something new for your home that delights your heart and brings you a smile.
Today's cleaning assignment is wash the windows and window treatments in the living room. Don't forget to wash the inside of the windows as well!
