31 Days to Clean by Sarah Mae ~ Day 6

Okay, so here it is after dinner AGAIN, the house is a mess, there are crackers smashed on the floor, the dishes need done, laundry started, toys picked up and the list goes on and on and on. My sister and I made it back in last night around 9 pm and today we spent with family, just being together, resting and playing. I really hate to use a Sunday (my husband's only full day off) to clean the house and do other chores unless I absolutely HAVE to.

My sister and I had a wonderful time in Louisville. The hotel we stayed at was the Galt House and it was beautiful. The service was amazing and the food was top notch. I laughed and smiled so much during the Jim Gaffigan show that my face was hurting when we left. We both bought his book and he signed them for us and we got a picture with him. The next day we went shopping at an area mall. Girls' weekend out and it was awesome. Totally worth it. I feel completely rejuvenated (which is something we are supposed to be working towards, right?)

But since, I was off gallivanting around the country for a day and a half, I need to catch up on the actual cleaning assignments for Days 4-6 on Day 7 (tomorrow) luckily, nothing major is on the calendar so I'll have quite a bit of cleaning to do.

Anyway, today's reading was spot on! It was about "The Six List." The six list is basically writing out six and only six things you MUST get done the next day before you go to bed. List them out in order of importance and work on them in that order, crossing them off as you go. If you don't complete them all in that day then add them to the list you make for the next day. The full story behind "The Six List" is here. I'm definitely going to be making my list tonight and at the top of the list is the cleaning assignments I didn't get done over the past few days. Sarah Mae encourages us to use this list for 6 days. I'm in!

Today's cleaning assignment is to clean out and organize the kitchen cabinets...I'm really glad I have a tiny kitchen right now! I hope you all enjoy your evening.
