31 Days to Clean by Sarah Mae ~ Day 11

Wow!

Today's reading was so appropriate. Thanks to very little sleep I woke up in a foul mood.

I really hate that. Read about why I'm such a jerk.

I love how it seems Sarah Mae can encourage me wherever I am. Maybe when we are all raising kids and doing what we do day in and day out we all feel alone when really we are all pretty much in the same boat.

Anyway...

Today's reading was titled "Limitations - Life is Hard." Well, if you read the post I mentioned above you are well aware of one of my limitations. Insomnia sucks!

Basically, she writes about how we all have this ideal day or plan that we have laid out in our heads and then life happens, kids get sick, the car won't start, someone else (who's probably having a bad day too) yells at us or we are just not feeling up to par and feel depressed, etc. and our plans are shattered.

When we face our realities and accept our limitations we will be able accomplish what we can and not beat ourselves up over not being able to do it all.

And let's face it...we cannot do it all.

Sarah Mae encourages us that when we don't have a lot of "life" in us to just do one thing, even if it is small to bring life to our domain...even if it is just making the bed or put flowers on the kitchen table...just do something.

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV Here's the verse.

Today's cleaning assignment is to wash the walls in the living room and dust the ceiling...I'm gonna need all the strength and grace God can give me to accomplish this today...but He knows that and can meet me right where I am.
