31 Days to Clean by Sarah Mae ~ Day 8

Good morning, Friends! I think having my Six List written out yesterday was an extreme help in staying focused. It basically allowed me to do three days work in one! Thankfully, my kids cooperated and were in good moods which helped immensely. So far today though, they aren't as cooperative. :-/ Oh well, one day at a time.

Today's reading is on overcoming the Curse through the power of our Lord when we are feeling discouraged and depressed when the work we've done needs a do over five minutes later, etc. You know the feeling. The overwhelmed, I'm gonna pull my hair out if I have to wipe up one more spill which of course makes you spill something...

Anyway, to combat those feelings we need to focus on the eternal aspect of our work and as Christians everything we do here has value in heaven...even washing dishes for the third time in one day.  The point is we can bring glory to God by having joy and a life giving attitude as we work daily in the domains that God has given us. You are still serving God when you are wiping noses, cleaning up spilled milk, making beds and taking the dog out every day. It is all in our response/attitude to these things. People ARE affected by our attitudes, especially our children and spouse, not to mention anyone we come in contact with throughout the day. God isn't looking for strength and perfection, He's looking for us right where we are and He will mold us (if we let Him) into the people He wants us to be.

Today's cleaning assignment is to clean out and organize the drawers in the kitchen. If it's not already on your Six List put in on and let's get to it.

Have a great day!!! :-)
