31 Days to Clean by Sarah Mae ~ Day 16 "Willing Hands"

Are you a dreamer?

I'm a dreamer.

I dream of a picturesque little farm with some frolicking kids, beautiful white fences, my chickens roaming around the yard eating tons of bugs, the flowers blooming, my children happy and playing outside with the kittens and my house sparkling clean but still cozy and inviting.

This is my ideal, I guess. I have this picture in my head and while it will be a while before I get a few goats, I do have free range chickens. The flowers aren't blooming because it's Fall, but the leaves are changing and that is just as lovely.

My children enjoy playing outside and are happy and healthy and loving. Couldn't really ask for more there.

My house on the other hand is NOT sparkling clean. I hope that it is cozy and inviting (still working on this.)

One part of this ideal that I can strive towards daily is having a clean home. It is always a work in progress but sometimes I start to feel overwhelmed. I feel like I can't hold it all together.

In today's reading, Sarah Mae encourages us to let go of the word "can't" and pursue our ideals consistently with the Lord's help and grace.

She reminds me that I am healthy, able bodied and have the ability to practice self-discipline. So when I feel like I just "can't" do it...to just do something, even it is something small!

Today's cleaning assignment is to clean the carpets in the bedroom and to wash the wood floors. :-)
