31 Days to Clean by Sarah Mae ~ Day 3

It is certainly amazing how life gets in the way of our plans. Today has been super busy already with school, grocery shopping, a doctor appointment for Bella, cleaning here at the house and all of the driving that goes in to all of that and here it is after dinner and I'm just sitting down to write this AND I have yet to begin my assignment for Day 3.

Better late than never I guess! Oh, if you haven't already downloaded the e-book I would encourage you to do so. Here is the link 31 Days to Clean by Sarah Mae .   There is more "gold" in this e-book than I'm able to include here. It is great!

So here we go! Already I am loving today's reading it was so encouraging and also (gulp!) convicting. The reading was on "10 Ways to Give Life to Your Home." I won't spoil it for you by listing them all but I'll list the ones that really spoke to me and that I know I need to work on.

  1. Retraining my tongue to give encouraging, comforting or edifying words to others.
  2. Offering life-giving and grace filled words to my husband, children and others I come in contact with.
  3. Making my home a place of grace where mistakes and sins are not met with anger but with hope and love.
  4. Decorating my home to make it a place of beauty.
  5. De-cluttering because clutter causes stress.
  6. Planning regular times away from home to rejuvenate.
  7. Persevere in planning fun activities for my family on my husband's days off.
The following verse was most inspiring:

"And if you give yourself to the hungry, and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness, and your gloom will become like midday. And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail." Isaiah 58:10-11 (NASB)

Assignment: Kitchen - Clean the tops of refrigerator, cabinets, and shelves. Clean outside of drawers and cabinets.

Well, I better get to work! :-)
