What is with the title?

Okay, maybe you are wondering what gives with the title of this blog. While great for the ego it sounds a little conceited, doesn't it?  Not really, if you know the back story.

It seems I'm a pretty busy mama. What mama isn't, right? I mean being a wife, mother of two toddlers and an infant, managing the household and running our berry farm certainly proves I am busy, but when meeting up and chatting with my friends and we start discussing our lives, I've been called a "goddess" on multiple occasions. This misnomer always makes me laugh. I often laugh at this after saying, "yeah right, come see my house right now!" or thinking, "Ha! If they only knew!!"

Most of the time I feel like I'm barely managing to keep my head above water, let alone actually be successful at this thing called Life and more specifically Motherhood.

Really I think there is a little goddess in every mother. It takes a great deal of patience, love, sacrifice and countless other virtues to be a mama. We are all pretty amazing! Just because we all do different things and pursue different areas of our lives whether its having a career outside the home or being a stay at home mom doesn't make any of us better than anyone else, just different and different is good!

So now that you know what is up with the title, I'll tell you why I decided to write a blog. I wanted to be able to leave a legacy to my children, even if only my thoughts so that they and also any reader interested would really know me.

My mother, Connie, went to be with our Lord, March 5, 2010. While I'm happy that she ran the race and won, I regret not really getting to "know" her. I did have 28 years to get to know her, like most kids I guess, I was pretty self absorbed. Like I said, I regret that. Moving on.

So this blog is about me and my life. God, My family including, but not limited to my Husband, children, parents, siblings, various relatives, friends, my thoughts, my likes and maybe dislikes even, cool recipes, neat things my children do while daily continuing to amaze me, our little farm, etc.  Pretty much anything I want to share with the world, so I hope you enjoy.
